Is Jesus Michael?

Does your religion teach that Jesus is Michael the Archangel? Is this correct? What does the bible say?

1)  So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.
Right away we notice Jesus is superior to the angels. Hebrews 1:4
2)” For to which of the angels did God ever say,
“You are my Son;
today I have become your Father Heb. 1:5

Again a comparison is made between Jesus and the angels, asking to which one of the angels did God ever say? Yet God did say this to His Only Begotten Son.
3) Now in verse 6 it says: “Let all God’s angels worship Him.”
Now ask yourselves, aren’t the angels higher than we are? If angels are commanded to worship Jesus, shouldn’t we worship Him too?
In reading Hebrews chapter 1, the superiority of Jesus over the angels is presented, this alone should make this clear and understood.
Philippians 2:8-11 gives us further insight.
4) Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Again, the superiority of Jesus is brought to our attention, it says that at his name every knee should bow!
* Now if God commands this, who are we to disagree? Who are we to argue with God?
Is there any way to argue about the command God gave to the angels? Should we do any less?
* Now ask yourself, aren’t the angels higher than we are? If angels are commanded to worship Jesus, shouldn’t we worship Him too?
For do you not know, He that does not honor the Son, does not honor the Father who send him?  see John 5:23
So then if we refuse to honor, and worship Jesus, then we are disobeying and dishonoring the Father.
In the book of Revelation, the Apostle John, fell at the feet of the angel, to worship him, but read what happens next.
5) At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus.Worship God!For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.” Rev. 19:10
Angels, or any other created thing, cannot be worshiped, according to the Scriptures, and the command given in Exodus.
Right away, in the Ten Commandments, does God make this clear.
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
6) “You shall have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:2,3
7) God says in Exodus 34:14: “for you shall worship no other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.’
8) “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only  you shall serve.’“ Matt. 4:10
Nowherein all of the Holy Scriptures does it say that Jesus is Michael. In fact Hebrews 2:5 tells us God has not placed angels in charge over the earth. Isn’t Jesus given the kingdom for 1,000 years? Then Jesus cannot be an angel according to this verse!
9) It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. Heb. 2:5
10) But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you! Jude 1:9
Here the archangel Michael did not dare condemn Satan.
11) Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written, “‘You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.’” Matt. 4:10
Here we see that Jesus did rebuke Satan.
12) And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, O Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is not this a brand plucked from the fire?” Zech. 3:2
Again we see Jesus rebukes Satan. But remember the angel did not dare to do this? (Jude 1:9)
An archangel, is a higher order of angel.  Hebrews 1 shows the superiority of Jesus over the angels, even an archangel is an angel, just a higher order of angel. The definition of an archangel is an angel of the highest rank, Michael and Gabriel are generally recognized as archangels by most Christians. Yet in the bible we are commanded not to worship angels or any created thing.
The scripture that is used to ‘prove’ Jesus is merely an archangel is 1 Thess. 4:16
13) For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
“With the voice of an archangel” is not the same as being an archangel, if it was, then Jesus would also be a trumpet.
Let us see what the Bible says Jesus actually is.
14) John 1:1 – “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
15) John 5:18 – “For this cause therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.
How does a son make himself equal to his father? They are both of the same kind, the Son being fully divine, deity, just as the Father is. A human father, begets a son, who is also human, they are “of the same kind”. A human begets a human, what does God beget? The Jews knew exactly what Jesus was claiming, which is why they sought to kill Him, saying it was blasphemy!
16) John 8:24 – “I said therefore to you, that you shall die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins.” (Note: In the Greek, “He” is not there.)
17) John 8:58 -“Jesus said to them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.‘”
18) Exodus 3:14 -“And God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM’; and He said, Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
19) John 20:28 -“Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
20) John 20:29 – Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
*Notice* That Thomas was not rebuked for saying this, but commended!
21) Col. 2:9 -“For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form.”
22) Heb. 1:8 – “But of the Son He says, “Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom.”
Quoted from Psalm 45:6 –  “Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Thy kingdom.”
23) Acts 20:28 Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood.
When did Jehovah buy the church with His own blood? No, that’s right He did’t! Who only redeemed us and bought us with His blood? That’s right, Jesus!
24) 1 John 5:20 We know also that  Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

25) For your Maker is your husband,The Lord of hosts is His name;
And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel;
He is called the God of the whole earth. Isa. 54
Who is our Redeemer?
He is the “everlasting Father” and “The mighty God” of Isaiah 9:6.
Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen. Ro. 9:5
26) “while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, Titus 2:13
When Jesus was on the earth, after the resurrection, His apostles repeatedly fell at His feet and worshiped Him, and He accepted their worship!  Surely if this was wrong, Jesus would have corrected them, as the angel did with John, but He didn’t. The following are just some of the many examples given in the Bible of those who worshiped Him.
“Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship Him. ” Matt. 2:2

On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him.  Matt. 2:11
Then those who were in the boat worshiped Him saying, “Truly you are the Son ofGod.” Matt. 14:33
Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped His feet and worshiped Him. John 28:9
So we see clearly Jesus is called our Lord, He is also called God in Hebrews and 1 John 5:20 and John 1:1, as well as Rev 1:7,8, 17,18, John 4:24, Titus 2:13 and Isaiah, among others. It is clear, Jesus is Deity, He is our Lord, we are commanded to worship Him. (Not saying He is the Father, for scripture makes it clear He is the Son, but fully Deity, yes that’s right, God the Son!).
